Principal, Mather High School

Peter Auffant is the principal of Mather High School. He has a clear vision to make Mather the “school of choice” for the West Ridge community.

He assumed this role after spending five years as the principal of Shields Elementary, a school he helped open in 2012. Peter participated in the 2016-17 cohort of the Chicago Principals Fellowship and The Fund’s Summer Design Program, working on distributive leadership with National SAM Innovation Project.

Peter worked as a consultant for Merrill Lynch before following his passion and transitioning to a career in education.
